Australian racing and wagering giant Tabcorp said Wednesday it has secured via its TAB brand a new exclusive three-year partnership with one of the biggest pub operators in New South Wales, the O’Hara Hotels Group.
The group operates pubs throughout metro and regional NSW with iconic venues across Sydney plus regional hubs such as Orange, Wagga Wagga, Young, Nowra, Wollongong, Rutherford and Salamander Bay.
As an exclusive partner, O’Hara Hotels Group is primed, Tabcorp said, to take advantage of TAB’s range of incoming enhancements and offers. The two companies will collaborate on uplifting the customer experience at selected venues through an investment in vision technology aimed at showcasing the best in local and international racing on SKY Racing.
“TAB is committed to the investment, promotion, and enhanced relationship with our strategic end-to-end partners,’’ said Brenden Varcoe, Tabcorp General Manager Racing Industry and Venues.
“We are the only wagering company that offers the complete omnichannel wagering and entertainment experience for venues. Our new offering is innovative, fresh and presents a new experience for customers which we are really excited about.”
This is the third major partnership extension announced by TAB in recent months following deals with IRIS Capital and Laundy Hotels, and comes on the back of competition from rival wagering brand Ladbrokes with its Ladbrokes Lounges. Tabcorp has been pushing for regulators to crack down on such practices, claiming it breaches the company’s exclusive retail licenses.
“The O’Hara Hotels Group is key to our retail strategy, and we are looking forward to working with them and growing both of our businesses across their network of renowned pubs,’’ Vacoe said.
